ABOUT US

Thrive Together was founded by Andrew & Anita Ball.

Between them they have a wealth of professional experience related to mental health and bringing out the best in your workforce.

Andrew Ball

He has over 20 years of experience managing projects, campaigns, and teams in the voluntary sector, as well as a short stint as a Primary School Teacher. Andrew Ball has directly worked with homeless young people, individuals struggling with drug/alcohol addiction, offenders, and those living with dementia all affected by and coping with poor mental health.

Throughout his career, he has emphasised employee well-being as one of the most crucial factors in achieving a team's objectives, believing that when a team thrives, so does the organisation.

One of his proudest moments was delivering a presentation to the Queen and receiving an award for 'Bringing People Together' at Alzheimer's Society, presented at St James' Palace. Andrew has a genuine passion for mental health in all aspects of his life, whether it be running, parenting or work. He brings a wealth of experience in transforming teams using a person-led approach. As a lifelong learner, he frequently listens to podcasts and seeks out new ways to build resilience and manage mental health in the workplace.

An avid runner, Andrew understands the role of sports in managing one's mental health. He held the post of Welfare Officer and Mental Health Champion, not just in his local club, but also in supporting others in looking out for their clubmates.

Anita Ball

Anita Ball currently holds a Director post at a hospice where she has headed up a team for over 15 years of 130 staff and over 700 volunteers.

Workforce Resilience and well-being have been a strong passion whilst working in a highly target driven environment.

Anita has also previously been Chairperson of the North East board of the institute of fundraising for 4 years. As an avid learner and reader she has spent much time studying mind-set and learning from sector leaders on how to build a team that thrives as well as being a leader that creates the conditions for her team to succeed.

She brings with her a broad and wide ranging knowledge in managing large and dispersed teams, employer branding, well-being and bringing out the best of your workforce. Anita also has knowledge in supporting people coping with loss and bereavement.
